Building Peace and Social Justice Since 2002
Never Again Rwanda (NAR) is a national peace-building and social justice organization established in 2002 in the aftermath of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. Our mission is to build sustainable peace by empowering youth and communities to actively participate in conflict prevention, resolution, and social cohesion. We work to ensure that the horrors of genocide are never repeated, fostering a culture of remembrance, dialogue, and reconciliation across Rwanda and the Great Lakes region.
NAR implements programs focused on peacebuilding education, genocide prevention, memorialization, and youth empowerment. We facilitate dialogues, train peace agents, advocate for human rights, and support survivors. Through our work, we strive to create a society where diversity is celebrated, justice prevails, and communities live in harmony.
Vision: A peaceful and just society where the dignity of all people is respected and protected.
Mission: To build sustainable peace through education, dialogue, and community engagement, ensuring that genocide and mass atrocities never happen again.
We are guided by principles of integrity, inclusivity, accountability, empowerment, and social justice. These values inform everything we do and shape our approach to peacebuilding.
